This page shows how to hook up the SRS ECU to put it into diagnostics mode - to be able to read the codes that caused the airbag light to come on in the first place. the "SST" they refer to is just a piece of wire with the ends tinned (if using stranded copper) so that one stray strand of copper doesnt accidentally get into an adjacent connector pin. you're actually shorting these two pins together to put it into diagnostic mode. |

here's how to clear the diagnostic codes from the SRS ECU, which should theoretically reset the airbag light. it involves using two pieces of wire, which are connected to a solid chassis ground (i'd suggest connecting them with a screw so they won't come loose during this process). read thru it a couple times and make damn sure you touch the wires to the right pins when doing it, or you might mess something up! |
