I've posted more photos both here and on Photobucket, by popular demand. I added more to the original June 15 collection, as well as a new collection. Enjoy! |

It's a girl! Eva Rose Gibson was delivered by c-section today at 2:12pm. She weighs in at a healthy 8 lbs. 2 oz. and is 20 inches long. The hospital has free wireless internet and I've managed to post pictures to our website as well as Photobucket. Photobucket will be faster than our website, so you may want to go there to see the pictures. |

Latest news: Dian is still only dilated about 2.5cm but is approx 70% effaced. She received an epidural at about 5:30am this morning. With the Petocin (drug to induce labor) being pumped in, her contractions are getting stronger and more regular. Doctor says there will be a eva today for sure! |

Update from the hospital: water broke about 2am, but they're having to use meds to kickstart contractions. Dian is occasionally posting updates to her facebook page, so if you're on there, that's probably the best place to look for updates today. I'll post pictures as soon as we have them at this page. Won't be any fancy formatting for new pics, but they'll be there! |

Still no news on the baby except that everything appears to be normal inside. We still don't know the gender, and won't find out till the doctor raises it up and says, "It's a _____!!"
The due date (June 6) has come and gone, but baby is still in the pressure cooker, using Dian's bladder as a punching bag. Originally they were planning to induce labor today on the 12th, which would have been 41 weeks, but that has changed. For now, we're waiting to hear what the doctor says at Dian's next appointment on Monday. Rest assured that we will update everyone just as soon as our baby arrives! |

Today, on our second wedding anniversary, we have an announcement: It's an alien! Yeah, yeah... OK, so it's very much NOT a single-celled organism, but it IS a parasite. We should know a whole lot more about it in early June of 2009. Before anyone asks: we are not going to find out the gender until it's born. There's only one in there. And that's just about all we know right now! |
